Mt. Washington
In my household we call Mt. Washington “Northern California in Baltimore.” No, there’s no magnificent coastline or a wine country, but it’s a hilly area covered in old growth trees, with a welcoming and low-key vibe. Despite being in the city, it actually feels like you can get out and connect with nature a bit. Yet, it also has it’s own Village for bars and restaurants, a Whole Foods and commuter train which makes it an easy trip downtown. Mt. Washington borders Roland Park, but tends to have smaller homes with smaller price-tags. Personally, it just might be my favorite neighborhood in town!
